Chemical name: Calcium hypochloride
Chemical formula: Ca (ClO) 2
Origin: India
Application: In aquaculture, Ca (ClO) 2 is used in white powder / granules, chlorine content 60-80%
Advantages:
- Chlorin has strong bactericidal ability, eradicating some viruses, host viruses (small shrimps, prawns ...), bacteria, algae, zooplankton ...
Processing process:
- Step 1: Use in settling ponds, take water into storage ponds for 3 days to fully hatch the eggs and cysts in the water.
- Step 2: Use chlorine 60% 18kg / 1000m3 of water. If to treat white spot pond: use 30kg / 1000m3 water
- Step 3: 48 hour water blower
- Step 4: Apply lime to achieve pH
- Step 5: Add minerals and cause water color.
Chlorine 70%: 50–100ppm should be used to disinfect pond bottom, 20–30 ppm to disinfect pond water. In fish ponds can treat parasitic diseases with a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 ppm, treating bacterial diseases: 1-3 ppm (10-15 minutes).
After using chlorine to kill bacteria, use sodium thiosunfate to reduce chlorin before sowing with the dose calculated as follows:
To remove 1 mg / l Cl2, 6.99mg / l sodium thiosulfate is needed
