Sodium bicarbonate:
Sodium bicarbonate (sodium Hidrocarbonate) is a white crystalline substance with the molecular formula NaHCO3. Based on the application, NaHCO3 is also known by names such as baking powder, floating powder, effervescent, etc. NaHCO3 is moderately soluble in water, 1l of water at 0oC dissolves 70g, at 20oC, 100g and at 40oC, 130g NaHCO3.
NaHCO3 is an unstable salt, decomposed by heat in reaction.
Use Sodium Bicarbonate in shrimp culture:
Water treatment, increase alkalinity of pond water when the rainy season comes to reduce pond water
Stabilizing pH in shrimp ponds due to Sodium Bicarbonate NaHCO3 increases alkalinity stability and maintains long alkalinity.
Maintaining the water color due to heavy rainwater makes the pond turbid, so Sodium Bicarbonate NaHCO3 is required
Along with other minerals, Sodium Bicarbonate NaHCO3 enhances electrolytes, mineral supplementation helps hard shrimp ....
Amount :
Stabilizing alkalinity in water: 5- 10kg / 1,000 m 3 of water, every 5-7 days depending on the age of shrimp.
Use in the evening and for increased effectiveness, apply with lime (CaCO3) or Dolomite in the evening.
Increasing alkalinity: 15- 20kg / 1,000 m 3 of water.
